Came across a used Morgen Trailer pump with an air cooled diesel that looks to be in good shape.  I haven't checked it out yet in person, but I'm wondering if anyone has anything good or not so good to tell me about them.  Its got an s-tube, 5" discharge and I'm thinking it should be good for about 50 yards per hour (give or take).  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Can not tell you to much about how good a pump they are as I only used one once.

But I did work on the one I pumped with. The cylinders where shot in it. You have to realize Morgen is no longer in business. Minnpar in Minnesota bought there extra parts and I guess drawings so you can get parts. If you can get it for a good price and the cylinders are good it may be worth while. You will have to decide what a good price is. A new set of cylinders will coast $5000.00.

Alot of factors to take into accout, what is the model,how old is the pump and how much is it? I have one so i may be able to help you out.

Has it always been a trailor pump or did the boom just fall off?

As kenny rogers said,ya have to know when to hold'm and know when to fold'm.My gut instinct says this is one to pass on.When purchasing a pump there are 3 things to look at 1) parts  2) service  3) support.With the economy being the way it is today there are deals to be had.
