What length of the fiber ?

We pumps 60 kg/m3 with short ones and long ones 35-40 kg/m3 but it is much easier with a pump with bigger cylinders...

And 4" endhose...

45 kg/m3 shortones throw 2.5" hose , but 60kg/m3 works .

I am not sure of the actuall amount, but it was quite a lot of steel needles and low cement content in the refractory I was pumping. 3" max slump ,  it always made for interesting days.

I was pumping 50 lbs per yard, 9 inch slump and killing my 52. Even the Cemex rep had never heard of pumping more than 35 lbs per yard. had to keep it below the grate or it would clog up, aim chutes at the barrels, two guys with shovels knocking off the grate, and a gas vibrator being in and out of the hopper just to get it to feed. Had a sales rep for pumpco on the job to keep things going. Had to wash out 5 times in 800 yards b/c all the medal would set up in the corners. Told them when ever there is enough build up that could break up and plug me, i am washing out. Got all pissed when i wouldnt take my grate off. Said thats how they always do it. Oh yeah it was the 2 inch nails

Yet the same job, bigstick did with a 61 schwing on the next pour and says he had no problems. Go figure.

I poured some for a airport hanger at the airforce base in sumter. 40 lbs per yard steel clips 350 ft 5" system on a 5000 psi mix. nice warm mix and warm day 680 yards 16 plugs it was finally over. not one of my better days. and to figure that fellow from army core of engineers said it was all the pumps fault.

Vasa wasn't it you that said you have had to remove the hopper grate to pump low slump steel fiber mix, it may have been mr.wibau?  I would be a nervous wreck never removing my finger from the off switch!

With the dry pack bolders we always got in FL there was no way in the world anyone with any sence would take the grate off. Not to mention the safty hazard, or the rebar that might go in. You just about needed a trash can for all the crap id pull off from grates.

TT it has happend that I have done that but than I have put another grate with less bars.... But that was a Schwing , now when i run a Putz it is not possible to lift the grate and get the mixers in place , in Sweden they dont have the big rotating chute....

But in the article I have linked to , had they original grate on the pumps so it works .
