Ive never seen anyone use ICF where it was going to be backfilled against it. Wonder how that is with moisture. One would think all that styrofom would fill with mold.

stepbrother, even concrete isn't water-proof, it must be damp-proofed just as much as concrete block, ICF, or a wood basement....yes, they build basements out of wood.

Most of the ICF I do is basements and are back filled.

They use rolls of black stuff with stickum on one side to water prof them.

First of all the best, love your equipment "a touch of class".What were you using for tip hose?couldn't really tell.Looks like a nice job, only thing better would be a complete ICF house.

Listen, learn, observe, your the future of this and so is ICF.Good for you.

ICF is fun if you get the right mud for it.

In many ways fun,a real test for the operator. What gets me is the companies that put together the forms, not all. They musta forgot how to read and follow instructions.

Mind you now i'm talkin local to me (Denver).I wished I understood why these lame ducks can't just build them right and the best part, put us at risk.

I can think off hand of say 3 companies that do it right.BBCP came up with a mud snake hose that looks promissing. There are a couple of systems that are real trouble, good for landscaping walls.

Yeah, and you also get different quality of ICF.
Over here we have 3 or 4 big names that produce the stuff, 2 of them are really good.
The material is a bit softer than the others, so they give a little bit when you pour the concrete in and don't break like the others wich is harder/stiffer. But they're cheaper, so most private customers use them...
