Hello every one just found the site and digging it to say the least. Im running a 92 Olin slide valve 60 yarder. Im having issues with with the plate heating up and dry packing under the plate on rock mixes 5 yards in.slump is right and hoes is primed. Does any one know where i can get a manual or download one? Any tips or suggestions will help. And yes I have called Olin no luck on them sending me the manual. Ill try and upload a pic or vid thanks.

Olin Makes a great pump and the fact that your still running one proves it. They are a good company also. Getting a manual for any pump that old might be hard to get. You found the right site and these guys will be able to help you.

Sounds like worn ware parts the dry packing is happening from water sipping out when under pressure. This old whiteman gate vavle i ran years ago had the same problems couldnt find the ware plates for it so we had a machine shop make them for us after that it was ok. Never heard of a slide vavle is it the same as a gate?
