Hello, I'm a new member to the site. I have a 2000 530 Reinert, Great pump and have never had a problem with it but all good things come to an end, When pumping I have to keep greasing the main shaft every 4 or 5 yds. or else it wants to stick as if it were bad concrete. Any ideas? I'm thinking its the seals/bearing are worn out at the shaft, but have never taken it apart so dont know whats in there. Thanks in advance |

Do you have a parts book or something call the dealer see if you can get a parts book they usually have assembly pictures and such in there. |

I run a schwing 305, which I believe is identical to your machine. I have completely rebuilt my valve, and it sounds to me like you have got some mud getting into the main shaft bushing. I went through this and actually ruined my shaft. My pump was just out of warranty, but schwing sprung for half... come to find out the seal at the main shaft was notorious for failing. There is an upgrade for it, it uses seals from a BPA 500, I did it, they fit better and no problems. Check a post I had here a couple of months ago, There is pics. of my rebuild. Like I said I believe our machines are the same. Hpoe this helps. |

*Hammah-I do have an operators manual thanks for reminding me. *Redman-This makes a lot of sense. My seal retainer was loose a while back and I loosened the two bolts to clean it out and tighten it back up and I noticed the seal was worn and looked like it needed replacing. Will definately get that fixed before my shaft goes bad, i'm sure they are not cheap. Thanks fellas |
