I recently was presented with an opportunity to travel to africa in order to train operators on how to run their  new-used pumps they recently purchased. This would consist of basic hands on pump operations, priming, clean out, ect. As far as i know these guys are totally GREEN, never had any experience with a pump of any kind, let alone one with a boom. So with that said i was wondering where i could find some type of slide show or training literature to break these guys in slowly before any kind of operating is even thought about. any info or ideas would be great. Thanks!

Call me, we need more info, what language do they speak, nothing in Zulu that I know of, if you know what I mean. Are you going to teach them safety? This is a tall order and it would be sad if they got hurt or hurt somebody. What kind of pumps?

good luck this is some of what I do. In many of these countrys the owner doesnt care about safty because there are no human rights theres no OSHA all they want is for the 5 or 6 men that will go out on this pump every day to get the job done so he can get paid. this is how it will play out one will drive one will set the outriggers exsaidra they will probably have no tools or any maintines supplies such as grease or oil so go with good intenshions and keep expectation low

Good luck brother, my cousin ran a shop at a large dam project, they had to color code everything, they are hard wired allot different in Niger, anyways. You may want to see how they understand things first, then reverse engineer your way of training, it would be a fun challenge though.
