The politicaly way of saying this is, the more you spend the more you can do. Another way is you get what you pay for.

lets see parts made in germany and parts made in mexico, american assembally and cheaper labor south. look at the paint and bottom line is the weight/cost per pound. resale the real stuff is not in stock but the repair shop has the other guys units stacked up like cord wood. do they really sell them cheaper or do they just make more money on the sale. buy the pump that will do the local concrete plant, look at used b-30 or a new tk-30, maybe a t-a ball pump.

My answer to your question is always, trailer pumping is like a taxi service, people pay what's on the meter or what the market rate is. So taxi operators use Fords or Chevs, not Merc's or BMW's ........ no taxi passanger pays more to ride in the Hunmobiles.

Pumping services are the same, if your market is running Mayco C30HD'S then a P30 or P88 is not much different in prices. However, when you come to S-tubes a locally built machine, Mayco, Olin, Reed,Transcrete will be more akin to the Ford/Chev where as the Huncrete's will be more weight, more cost, less power ....... so you will make no more and parts cost will be a shocker.

Well said Digger. It's not always a question of what is better but the question is what is better for you, your market and so on. I know this is going to be your first pump. It good you are asking around. I love Schwings and Mayco's Mayco makes smaller pumps while Schwings make everything from the little pump to some of the biggest pumps in the world. I dont remember who was the other company you mentioned. Good luck.

Todd, being new to the site.  what's wrong with a putz.  I operate a putz, and about every customer prefers me over the other schwing pumps.  they say I am alot smoother.  don't tell me it's the operator. lol

Avenger,

If it were up to Todd the only people that would ever sell any pumps are listed right over >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

There is only one really bad thing about Putz... they are not on the right side of this page. And that is enough ;~)
