Doing a job that requires 1500 ft of line. The line has to go through the woods so I was thinking of doing it in 4 inch? Im gana use a 3/8 3500 pump mix and pump it with a 16 cell putz. Plan to clean the line with a tow behind compressor. Anyone think I should do it in 5 inch? Also I'm gana have to rent or buy the pipe cause I don't own that much. Just looking for some feed back

Here's some things I have done.I have pumped 1500' downhill several times at the ski area's using 4" line,3/4" rock (or 1" minus). The key is to have a richer mix (powder) flyash helps as a retarder.Take into consideration a few things, plant using hot water/agg,how far is hual,grout/primer,good radio's. 5" system is deff more trouble free but a back breaker getting set up,3/8 -3500 mix doesn't mean it will slide better, could have more agg which is detrimental to you.As always use care when using air.It has been my experience pours like this take way more time than figured, may want to use some delvo to slow set time.Let us know and take pic's,rots of ruck. |
