Hey i just bought a 41m 2525-6 2006.I just can not believe that i m there now.10 years ago i started on 1979 875 28m thomsen....

I did not receive it yet,i want to know because of the footprint being the same of a 39m,could i pump flat boom all around the pump.Is it dangerous to pump over the rear outrigger?

any advice are welcome .

Thanks

Ti-so,

Seems like you have been more shopping than pumping...

i am not sure about the foot print, i think its bigger than the 39, cant be much though. The truck is a little longer too.

the biggest problems i had with our 41's was dropping out rigger jacking cylinders and the aluminum water tanks seemed to be cracking and leaking all the time. Also the water box drain was a constant battle, i removed that drain asssy and ran a hose with shut off to the back

the big pump kits are hydraulically a little different than the others, you need to exchange the oil in the loop line on the difff cylinders manually, ideally after each job (close the quarter turn valve, extend driver side cylinder and pressure out system for one minute).

We did a spreadsheet on profitability, and all 41's were the pumps that made the most money for us, everybody loved to run them.

congrats, just like the 39m, thats a good pump

Actually ,i sold the bear skin before killing the bear on the 39m!!!the owner sold to someone else during the time i was waiting for some papers.

For the 41m,i knew the issue with the outrigger.Does welding the water tank solve the problem. For the water box,i didn t see it ,is it a big deal to fit the hose to the drain asssy?

To pressure out the system, you press on the e stop and wait for a minute?

Thanks gboom it s always appreciated

The best way to repair the water tank is to weld a patch over the crack, you need a welder who knows how to weld aluminum, its a simple repair, but you probalby need to take the tank off the pump to weld it.   Who knows, you may not have a problem with the tank at all.

To pressure out the system, dont push the estop, just close the quarter turn valve at the brain and extend the driver side cylinder. At the end of the stroke, it will stay there, rock valve does not shift and you can hear the system loading, and just let it sit there for a minute. I couldnt get our operators to do that, they were just too lazy to climb on the truck and flip the valve.

The way the waterbox is designed, just needs some a little more tlc and cleaning than the old style (again lazy operator)

I'm 99.9% sure that the front spread is 27' and the rear is 21'. 39m is about the same.

I love my 39. Extremely stable unit

N.D. I know that the 39m is pretty stable,i just sold mine. But a 39m is actually the 38...m and a 41m is 41m boom on the same footprint so does it makes it less stable?

N.D.Your 39m looks very very Good.!!

We bought a 41m almost 2 years ago 2006 with the 2525 pump kit on it. First off think it is the best one we have in the fleet with the 39m 02 right behind it. Now for all the people who have a 41m the aluminum tank has a update on it for the water tank we just had ours replaced under warranty this summer. if it is cracked along the holes where the two shaft go through the tank it is covered under warranty. Nice because it is expensive for a new steel tank that replaces it. the spread is 27' on the front and 21' on the back we have had no issues with laying it flat and pumping in any or all dirrections. One thing to check is the hieght on the piston tubes in relative to the back axle on the pump we had too replace piston tubes because they never had the hieght right and the one bolt on the drives were pushing through the piston tube. Schwing covered it under warranty one of the tubes. they have lift kits for the back end if you are having isses with that as well. We sent the pump to CPR repair to have the work done. There is also a update for the hydrolic tank if it leaks don't know what specs are required for it to be covered under wwarranty but it is available in steel as well.

As for the water box hate the design with the valve on the bottom. We drain our slurry box every night to keep the valve clean and grease it every day to ensure there is no build up in it. It is a pain in the ass to change and want to do it as little as possible. we actually put a suction hose on after the valve to ensure no plugging of crap coming from the slurry box. Have done alot of modifing to the pump with running it all winter in Canada.

It is the cheapest in the fleet to run by far as i can run two days pumping hard before filling the tank with minimal driving but still cheap when running 3 hrs out of town pump for 6 hours then run home on one tank of fuel.

Thank you Canmore.

I just wrote to schwing/cpr about all warranty claims you wrote me and told them to make sure everything is updated. My 41m is still at schwing/cpr so it will be really bad to missed that opportunity to have them looking at it while it s there.

Thank you all
