First month with 2001 32m schwing. Guy that traind me told me to keep revs around 1000.  Also heard high revs make it run smoother. But i get more bounce. Am i hurting it running low revs

I wouldn't call 1000 revs 'low'..  Somewhere between 950 and 1350 would be ok for me at least. To low revs can hurt the hydro pumps..

full throttle 100% of the time is best for the machine, control the boom bounce with your volume control/stroke limiter . no it won't hurt it but it does lug your motor and your boom pump will be starving for oil when using multiple functions also causing boom bounce or slower functions

1280 is the "HAPPY" spot for me......

on bigger booms, i run full throttle .. on smaller booms i run at lower throttle. smaller booms require less throttle to run smooth. I get the boom to get a full stream, if it starts to bounce i start with bumping the throttle down a few taps. and if that doesn't solve the boom bounce I will adjust the volume down a little at a time until i get full stream, no bounce.

If it is bouncing quite a bit with a good slump though (4-5), your rear outriggers are probably floating.. but you should always be aware of your machine and floating outriggers anyways.

Thankyou all tried both ways today and found out with full rev. Low volume  it was as smooth as silk and was able to keep up easly with a residential footing

One more....   i kniw my rear kidney seal is bad.  I can see rubber sticking up.. told boss a bunch of times.  What happens if i keep running it even though i know seal is messed up?

if its bad now couple hundred $ in parts and labor. keep running it and it will gouge out the mirror plate which equalls couple thousand $ and you will be chipping the rock valve out after every pour. but id explain the $$ part im sure he will understand tha language

You really need to play with the rpms and volume. Previously used pumps are kinda like people, different personalities based on previous operators/use. For me, I usually rev the truck up as far as it is able to go then toggle back a few clicks on the remote and start there.

Got the revs figured out. The seal i guess is waiting till the dead of winter. And yes there is always build up in the rear i have to get with a bar.  i guess my main concern now is if its safe for another month. Averaging 100-200 yards a week?  And when setting outriggers is it best to have rear tires touching ground?

Asking for trouble with that seal. Sudenly you have a mix that you can not pump because it will keep plugging down there in the first bend after the hopper. You will be wondering what the fck is going on and blame the concrete. But it will not be the concretes fault but your bad seal that causes the problem Yell

A slightly profesional pump company would change that seal asap..

The change of a kidneyseal alone is a two hour job. you can't be that bussy.

And like Dipstick says. been there done that.

Halve way a smouth 600 yard poor going 60yard an hour bang jamed in the backand reducer. First not knowing what was going on was not my regular pump. trucks linning up took me halve an hour to figure it out.

Going to make sure he gets parts asap.. not going to look like a fool becase of it. Were not a pumping company is why. Im the only guy that has a clue, and only been running it for a month.  Thanks for all the advise.
