Anyone seen these...Went by Loopbelt's shop in Chicago last week. Putz might have their hands full if they ever get some of these machines sold. I had looked at their website www.loopbeltind.com a few times, but seeing their 105 (32 meter) was very interesting. Love to get one in the field...has anyone on here ran one? |

nice thing is they have 18 inch scrapers so it scrapes the entire belt instead of only 16 inches, nice trucks for sure. I would love to get the opportunity to test one out sometime |

Hey Brandon, You probably knew this, but Illinois Conveyor makes the 18 inch scrapers that will fit right in your putz scraper bracket. They also make a lot of other parts for the putz machines...if you need contact info, let me know and i'll get it right to you. |

I see the comment about 18" blades. "Caveat Emptor." Putzmeister uses 16" blades because belts "cup" when they come off a crowned pulley. Eventually the long blade chews into the edge of the belt. The tapered ends of the 16" blades do not dig into belt edges. The "cup" becomes more pronounced, as the belt stretches. It then takes a lot more spring tension to pull the center of the blade up tight enough. This is hard on blades, splices and cover along the edge of the belt. There is a lot more information on after-market parts at http://www.putzmeistertricks.com/ Need more convincing?
