I went into work a week ago for a job and it canceled when I got to the shop. Then I was told to wait around for the Manager to get there, because he wanted to talk to us. When he got there he told us the we needed to raise prices and that I was getting layed off. I was told they had to cut back on operators and that since I was the highest paid operator I was getting cut. Know that was on a Wednesdy and on Friday I get a phone call asking about the new operator they hired that was running my pump.. Now it take about 2-3 weeks for someone to get hired with all the paper work and stuff. Now I have never been wrote up for anything and have alway been on time and done my gone over and above the close of duty. But funny thing about this is that the new operator quit less than a week later. All I can say is good luck to those that are left there, I will wave we I go by in my new pump.. |

Dang Putzboy! That was a low blow. You would think that a company would want qualified, experienced operators to run their million dollar machines. A seasoned operator is going to cost more money, but chances are that seasoned operator isn't going to bring it back to the yard with a boom full of mud! I wish you well in your search for work. |
