does any body know or have a copy of the OEM, will OCC stop the boom from extending to far verticle which may cause the pump to flip over backwards onto the short rigged side? say from a gust of wind, unlevel setup, operator error, an unforseen event... |

ShortStick: to answer your question - yes. A pump equipped with both OSS and EBC can put the boom in some unique positions. HEre's a link to Putz' OSS/EBC capabilities... http://www.putzmeister.com/pdfs/PM_3715_US.pdf |

I talked to one of the Putz. tech. guys at last years WOC about that same issue.. and was told that factors such as wind ect, were all accounted for in the engineering of the OSS system. Also the EBC has some really cool features as well, such as being able to lock-out specific sections for elevated bridge decks ect... and auto boom dampening which cuts bounce to a bare minimum when pumping hard. I really like the HBC remote that it's tied in with, wish we had them on all our machines... |

the oss, ebc, edc,and boombounce controol helps a good operator being beter. It is giving him more time to controol the holle thing. But in hands of a rookie the pump is taking controol. |

agreed... in many instances the EBC cannot be utilized, an operator should never become dependent on these systems... but given the right situation they can be a very useful tool... |
