Never up here in NorCal....DOT runs surprise inspections all the time checking to see if anyone is violating the dyed diesel law....its a big time fine.  I know people that got caught.

New laws? hehehe. This has been around for a long time.Anybody running red fuel in the same tank as the power unit is asking for trouble. This was a topic not very long ago and yes the acpa is actively involved. This would be a subject with ones bookeeper.

No we have been running off road fule for some time now the way that we do it is we keep a log on the wheel hub of how many miles we drive and we only pay the taxes on those miles every quarter I was just wanting to know if there was any other company's out there doing the same

Hi Country,to the best of my knowledge you will find running red fuel as a power fuel for truck is a "go to jail card".You should be running regular fuel and thru your bookeeper getting your off road credit's.Derputzmeister said it well,I too have been checked going through Montana at the scales. If you still have questions about your state contact your local DOT office, for heavens sake don't drop the nickel on yourself and tell them where you work. That may be an enlightning situation.
