I saw some of the guys at Pioneer in Atlanta using "Crete-Buster". This is a product that is usually used as a cleaning agent to remove concrete from painted surfaces. The guys were spraying it on the hopper area the night before and told me that it kept the concrete from attaching its self to the hopper and made clean-up easier.

one of the operators at pioneer mixes crete buster with hyd. oil and diesel fuel during the day to spray his hopper down. when he gets back to the yard the concrete washes off with no problem.

That is really bad. I would be way hot about that and have to "talk" to the people that made that stuff. Lots of real crap out there. You need to post a picture of the bottle label so no one else gets that stuff.

I have used the crete buster on my Infinity to get some splatter crete off...... it is safe ;~)

That is one clean hopper yes.

I will try to get the product name. we have stopped using it  now of course, I hate to think if they get it on the hydroulic lines hehe. We do use form oil also. I believe regular bunker oil. But all our hopper skirts and safety blast flaps are going this way, but only if rubber shows wear it eats into the seam and turns it to liguid.

It turns out to be called Con off, but now I find out it is an acid replacement and was left on 24hrs. Most of the employees were told to wash off in 5min. Hmm

Well I passed along the link Bob maybe we will see how available that product is.

Thanks for the info!

Way to many delicate electronics on pumps these days to use ANY type of acid, IMHO. People sometimes forget that the vapor is just as harmful as the liquid its self. That stuff that wiped out the rubber boots on your machine may have gotten a bad test; it sure told the story though. When you rinse any product off of your machine chances are that you will not be able to get 100% of it off. That is the reason I put the crete buster on this posting, it is safe stuff. If you miss some of it you are still good to go..... & it works. ;~)

I find us Canucks  a bit sheltered in selection of  product. You would think we would go online more. I believe a 50 gal drum of this product to be around $400 cad. Thanks for the tips these give us more ideas and trials to replace acid which we used for years. Of course instant results are expected but at what cost, health or money, thanks again.
