Does any body know of  anyone in the southern ca area tht has an olin rock pump for sale besides the one in the used pump section. I would mainly be using it for shotcrete .also i have a 2006 olin 565 for sell with 1800 hours on it

nothings wrong with using it on shotcrete jobs its just more convienyent with a rock pump.ive been doin about 2 to 3 shtcrt jobs a week and when it gets later in the day and the guys want it at a 2 to 2 1/2 in slump its a pain in the ass with a ball valve pump, swing tube or rock valve  leaves me a little more room for comfort

Yes you are right it doesn't like that 2 1/2 in slump, if you had a pencil vibrator you could put it over the balls in it would drop in.

i have a vibrator mounted on the front of the hopper right above the surge chamber and ive found that for one rm drivers are stupid and dont know how to turn it off when they fill my hopper a little to full (even though i pointit out to them several times). or if i sit for a long period of time and it doesnt get shut off it packs the balls in pretty tight. i just think the easiest solution is getting a rock pump again

Yep. once in a while balls are ok. Full time shooting needs a wide open hole. Better yet a Reed dry process gun, that is the best thing since can beer.

I got two  vibrators one behind the surge chamber and one on the bottom side of the screen what I was talking about was a hand held vibrator  to move from one ball to the next , for stiff grout you really need a screen vibrator, I see you drift a s-tube pump will pump stiffer grout.

i bet with that one on the screen it makes that mudd fall through the screen great, but what a pain and the ass to take tht screen off?

I don't take my screen off, I have a little short chain with a hook to hold it up to spray out my hopper then to clean the dried concrete I use a air chisel to get it clean, I started using DC -60's 12 volt from Vibco they cost about 300.00 each, I never pump without a screen stiff grout can be slow getting it threw even with my vibrator's. I have very good mix's in my area the company that don't I refuse to pump them or even try.

I live in Clarksville Tennessee, I run a 2007 5/45 OLIN they are the best ball valve pumps you can buy easy to work on parts are cheaper than s-tube's I have almost 1100 hours on this one.
