1999 schwing 39x . Switch over to remote on the control panel hit the reset on the radio remote and it take up to 5 min. for the radio remote to link up. any help before i send it to schwing for repair? I replaced the control board with a spare that i had and no luck ? |

Unfortunately Nelson Oliver is no longer with Omnex, which is really too bad because he was incredibly knowledgeable towards their products and just a great person to deal with in general. There have been some major changes at Omnex in the last couple years, from here on we will be using HBC radios... nuff said.... |

I would check the antenna on both, the box and computer or truck wherever located. We had an external antenna on one of our riggs and accidently bent the antenna and couldnt figure it out for days. It sounds like the computer is having a hard time reconizing the box. Does the box light up rght away, if so then the box is probaly not the problem but dont rule it out. Good luck |

I did not know that Nelso was not there anymore. But I'm sure Omnex must have others in the service department that can help you out. That's their job, I'm sure they do it well. |

No issues with existing service staff, they are very helpful... Parts availability and pricing is what we have seen change in the last year or so... I suppose the one saving grace is that many of the basic components/switches on Omnex boxes (at least the putz./concord/alliance style ones) are readily available at most auto supply stores. |

The Hoplink is probably getting bad since the circuit board changed out and still doing the same thing. |
