So the other day I went to turn on my remote when doing my morning pre-trip and the remote wouldn't power up. Thought the battery was dead so I pulled the fully charged one out of the charger and put it in the remote. Tried to power up the remote again and still nothing. I grabbed my 4-pin tether cord and plugged the remote into the receiver and presto, power to the remote and full function use. My thoughts were that maybe a wire had come lose from the battery casing to the circuit board inside. I took the battery casing off the remote and had a look at everything...nothing seemed out of place. The positive contact inside the battery slot does look a little corroded but I put the battery in and ran my test light across the terminals and the light is good and bright. I also have good power running to the circuit board plug. Has anyone had this happen to them or does anyone have so advice on where to start my trouble shooting? |

Do have voltage at the On/Off switch? If you don't have power at the switch, your wire harness Pin #34 contact(Red wire for the on/off sw.) probably corroded and broken off internally. You may have good voltage at the battery connection, but no voltage at the On/Off switch due to broken connection in the wire harness.
