Your old man was one of a kind. He was one of the hardest working men I ever knew. My favorite memory was when George and I went to the WOC when it was in Dallas. We had a good time!! I wish you well. ;~) |

Hi Lee It was in the mid 70's in Houston.I was working for pumpco (Ron Rumza) was the manager. They had one putz in there fleet and George was the answer man. My memory along with other things is failing.it was real close to the date of the Witchta falls tornado,Again he was a fine and knowledgable man,a great loss to a good industry. |

Not to many of us youngsters have any idea what American Pecco was... I have heard many stories from dad when he was with them... just to let the greenies know pecco was also the american distributor of Putzmeister before they came and started putz america |

It was a "C" valve - aka elephant trunk putz pump cell with an Atlas boom. The GMC truck that it was mounted on was light in the ass for the application. The rear outriggers would come off the ground if you were boomed over the cab, flat out. I remember that some of them had an 'outrigger' on the front bumper to prevent that from happening. George was the only one that could make it work well. ;~) |
