Admin Edit, sorry guys I do not want to have an open critique of all the concrete pumps with people who are anonymous. Can you just see salesman for one company posting their thoughts on a competitors pumps? It would just be a mess.

Dissapointing we cant discuss, I (and im sure many more) was looking forward to some honest operators experiences, opinions on the fancy gizmos and possible improvements.

yeah because im sure a salesman from one pump manfacturer is going to tell everyone how great everyone elses machines are compared to theirs.

Personally, I think it's a very good topic...  

       What if a guy wants to buy a new putzmeister and would like a unbiased view from a man who actually has experience with what he wants to purchase? Should he call the salesman who has probably never pumped concrete through one of the new machines if he has ever pumped concrete period, the man who will get comission off of the sale? Believe every word he tells him?

Who knows maybe putzmeister would use this post as a type of free market survey and improve on some things... They are already a leader in this industry, they have built their name.

The best way to buy a new pump is always to call and talk to the manufacture, ask for references, talk to those who run the pumps. I know Putz would not mind people talking about how great there equipment is but a message board has some weaknesses that do not make this a good forum. Now you can ask on this message who runs this pump or that pump and call them on the phone or email them but a message board just does not work well for that type of conversation. The reason I say this is because I know, we have done it a long time ago and it always ended up bad.

You may say i am trying to limit open speech on this site and you would be right, my interest is in protecting my customers be it the pump company owners, manufactures and suppliers. This is how I make my living, feed my family. If someone needs help post it, if someone has a question post it if someone has some cool pictures post them but we can’t really do a fair and honest pump evaluation with anonymous members and every Tom Dick and Hairy chiming in. I know all my members are awesome great guys but we get people who join this site often times just to whim bitch and complain. Please remember many people who own pumps have an interest in selling new pumps also so you will be asking dealers to chime in…. anyway I hope you understand.
