You pumpers remind me of a story our boss used to tell our sales dept......... THERE WAS A FARMER THAT LOST MONEY ON EVERY BAIL OF HAY THAT HE HAULED, SO THE FARMER GOT SMART AND BOUGHT A BIGGER TRUCK!.

   Why do you not charge for travel and why do you pump so cheap. You lose money on every job! typical quote from there.

                                 28m to 32m 90 per hr 1.50 per yard 3 hr min!

                                   61m  175.00 per hr 2.25 per yard no travel or prime charge?

    Really how can you make money like that?  (this is the prices we got for a quote we turned in so I know this is true.     And I got these prices from two different compaines in the area!

Back in the mid 80s I saw one company do a job for free to keep the other out. 2011 and nothing has changed,

Well Im the local one pump guy here in orlando area and often fill in for the bigger outfits. Yeah I know every time I do (and its when I have nothing on my schedule) I have to work for less than I normaly charge. 

  The real kicker is the flat rates that are going on..  Least its better than it was couple years ago- oh yeah most of the lowest flat rate companys are gone...

  I seem to hav elost one customer lately that named his own rates and was fair enough about it I could live with what hw wanted to pay, he always gave several days notice which is great... what happened big outfit saw fit to give him a better deal.  WAY TO GO THERE JETHRO.

theres nuttin there no more the flat rate iv been running with since iv been pumping and thats 8 years ago i use to runn my dads pump for 225 any thing over 200 feet 1 a foot no prime cuz i can water prim with a 2 inc pump walls where diff tho nuttin less thin 300 under 10 yard but now in the fl area its 180 for flat and thay want u to do cell fill for nuttin no money makein here nore u cant pay for the inc or ur guys so its a one man show
