Why in the world would they have tried to set that crane up there. That's probably the most negligence that I have ever seen. Hope nobody was hurt or killed. I can't figure out why it held as long as it did. All I see is about 2 inch deck topping. WWWWOOOOWWWW!!!!!!!!! |

Well if you look at the last picture they tried to support it with those jacks as Fleming Concrete Pumping did in one of the past Concrete Pumping mags to set up their 58 meter on a deck like that. These guys definitely didnt do any math or measurements as Fleming did. Flemings pump pulled off the deck and you see what happened to this crane. Thats one big oops |

I've done this before to set up one of my outriggers, but since i was going to be setting up there for more than 30 times on that same place, me and my company decided to build a temporary concrete colum underneath the basement slab or 1st floor slab depending what you call it ( the one that is Sidewalk level) to support the outrigger. Allways everything went well ( i set up there 33 times on that same spot)...Once we were done the boys brought a jack hammer and took it down... The front outrriger is the one set up inside the building. |

The ourigger that broke through was on a mez. deck! In the last picture you can see outside, pull a tape! In the pic of the underside of the crane you can see the discoloration in the slab showing where the grade-beams are! Go Gillesbie Go! 8887-7888 I'll admit I have a problem with finding tragic shit like that Funnier than hell. As long as no-one's killed or maimed ofcourse. The more I look, The harder I laugh. Its terrible, I cant help it, It cracks me up. I am truley sorry. |

Hey, the 28 day break report just came in on the deck.....625psi !!! Who in the hell ordered CDF for this deck. Boss!! I couldn't understand his Spanish. It's not my fault!!! The sun was in my eyes. Money says that they set up early a.m. before supervision, inspectors and the engineers showed up!! |

When I was with BCP we had a couple of pours down town San Fran that we had engineered so we could pull our 52m and sometimes the 58m on a Webcor jobsite and we had extra put in just in case the mixers got on the slab as well. I know it was engineered but I will admit the first couple of times my butt was definitely puckered... |

one of the guys who was with the lifting team on that jobsite , told me the crane punched through as u can see from the first photo and landed its boom on a panel wall , but shortly after , the panel wall collasped or gave way further driving the cran into the ground as u can see from the last couple of photos, storey was the foreman took on the responisblilty of surveying where the cranes outriggers were to go instead of a proffesinal surveyor , and supporting jacks under the slab were put in wrong postion, or crane was in wrong position, crane was only a couple of weeks old too , luckyilly no one got hurt is the main thing |
