Putz 600mm  pads work best i find and last longer than timber also they fit in the Schwing pad tray

Birch plywood pads are made out of the same very tightly compressed shaved Birch that Symons forms are faced with.

It is imported from Northern Europe. Very strong, well bonded material. It costs more than American plywood and will outlast the American stuff at least 2 to 1. It is also heavier [more dense] than the American stuff.

IF you are going to use wood pads, birch is the best by far.

Or you can just buy some 2" thick pads from DICA Outrigger Pads and NEVER need to replace them unless they are lost.

Whoa Bob, I thought I was on E-bay for a sec!

(3), 2' x 8'- 1-1/8" panels=$20 from fav. foundation crew.

(1) quart "Gorilla Glue" =$20

(4) Gate handles =$16 co-op

Follow directions in bottle of glue...

Stand on panels over-nite w/outrigger & 5 or 6ft peice of dunnage...Warning!! all the above could be glued to shop floor if you dont follow directions! 

Cut into (4) 2ft pads, Add handles

4 years and counting!

Or special order 4x8 sheet of 3"- 40ply Lamanent and find a good saw operator,

The Birch plywood is so different from the American stuff, I thought I should put something out there. There are better places to buy it than the site I posted. I was trying to get the point across about the COST$$$$

if thats all it cost sign me up all i found $ 90 a sheet for 3/4"
