HOPE YOU HAVE A CURRENT BOOM INSPECTION !!

You simply need to put it in perspective. It's just a house, you normally have men under the boom, the house will catch the boom. Just make sure the house isn't occupied at the time.

Don't pop a pipe and paint the roof. Hope all your gaskets are sealed.

Last time I went over a house I gave them a nice swimmingpool in the driveway with my outrigger. For free!! ;-)

When my boom fails. I rather have it on a house than on a human been. A house is replaceble.

although I have pours over a house on a regular base it still feels a kind odd, I usualy stretch the boom so I have a visual on the whole boom when I lower it to the roof as near as possible to have free space for turning (check for chimney and antenna's) , then I walk to the backyard and lower the last two sections and do the pour only with these last two so I don't have to mind the first sections

Thats why I bought a line pump.. I used to boom over, now I don't. Its not worth the $400 to take the risk. Once I boomed over a house with copper trim and slate roof tile Fancy and expensive. Not worth the risk. One bump and you owe money instead of making it. I know why pump for $400? thats the going rate. Do it or don't pump.

House's are just another obstacle. I wind up over houses often. The only difference between them and say, the men on the job, a vehicle, etc is that they are much for visually apparent. Good dunnage, watch out for the chimneys, and you're good. Oh yeah, did I mention watch out for those chimneys when you start swinging. Any day over a house means alot (alot) of walking from the truck to pour and back. Pump on boys. Nice pics.

I do it almost everyday, do it right and do it safe and no worries.  Yes i know that things can still happen, but in this state it is a necsesary evil to get the job done.

vasa- spot on: 32/4 with brf.(elephant)

You have to weigh up the the pros and cons of over, round or thru, in this case a terraced house  fully furnished carpeted etc etc- just nice to get a blockage in the middle of!!!

You got a point there supperdoffer. I remember a job in Zaandam in a nice neighberhood with the old 32 schwing.

I kept pulling up the 1st section but nothing happened. I walked around the house and saw hydr.oil just Showering over the whole pump, cabin and ofcourse the street. A hose had loosened from the first section cylinder.

The mixerdriver was just standing there. The fuckface was almost empty and he realized that if he would say something he would maybe be standing there for a long time.

I quote (well some of it) "The mixer driver was just standing there"

Yep thats the guy the manufactureres says can be trained to be qualified to make life and death decisions by placing a sticker on the back of the pump!
