What is the best type of paint for a Trailer pump in your all experience? I would like to paint my new Reed line pump. I've used different types in the past like AUE 400 but some paints tend to absorb stains more than others. On the otherhand an epoxy paint like Emron once it is used it makes any over coat almost impossible. Also anyone know the color match for Reed? thanks. PS: I've been using the new Reed B 50 quite a lot and man do i get a lot of compliments!

Imron 5.0 is the best but being phased out. I just got done painting my 47 Schwing with PPG Del Fleet Essentials on the pump and PPG Concept on the boom. I painted one pump with concept on the boom 7 years ago on it still has great shine today,  but I decided to use delfleet on the pump because it is a true polyurethane , turns to plastic in 72 hours. Buddy I done the same thing what color I found that really hides stains is Masey Furgeson Gray, the guys I sold my pump don't take care of it at all as far as cleaning the out side with that color and all the concrete stains you can still see the Gray color, TSC carrys it

Yeah a good paint and a heavy last coat for shine. Your pump looks great! I'll look into the suggestions. This line pump will be an easy paint job. I hate to cover up the original but i want it to look kick ass again. 

We use epoxy primer, and 2k International top coat. we do a complete truck pump boom sandblast and refurb every 6 years. Pic attached was done last month

Acrylics and Enamals and any Single pak paints do not last.. the whites peel, fade and turn yellow
