Had a shotcrete job doing a pool for a house that was worth at least 3 million and the homeowner wants to cry about his $600 pump bill??? Gee buddy, I really want to hear your sob story that you have to pay $600 to put in your huge pool for your 3 million dollar house, while there are millions of people out there just struggling to make it. Give me a break.

my buddy stiffs me on a second pump job, he says iam just helping him out so the bucks can take care of his company/ broken 550 ford diesel. then he calls to gloat over some foundation job he has. now he does not have any wall forms but has money for that. now the job is ten in the footing and seventeen in the walls. the proctors guys get $95-a yard mud compared to $100- for the rest of us. the boom pump bids $380- bang it out. iam doing two pours $450- on the time and leave the $100- yardage on the table. then buddy says we are making the footing smaller so less yardage, hum where is this going less bill. not really because iam not charging for the the yardage duh.

Many - I felt like telling him that just for this phone call there is an extra $ 200 bucks for an aggravation charge. HA -------------- Schwing58 - I've always heard that rich people get rich from being very stingy and pinching pennies, but I'm just middle class so I wouldn't know! lol ------------ Theo - hate when that happens. ha, ha ------------------ I guess there is no reason for me to be looking for an invitation to the pool party once it is completed. :o(

I once worked for a Dr. who told me a little story about how to have a successful practice. He told me that 10% of your customers create 90% of your problems. The secret was to make sure that those 10% were being taken care of your competitor. I have a list of those we will not work for. Either they don't pay or they are a pain in the butt. And we service the heck out of the rest! What goes around eventually comes home to roost and it has worked well for us.
