We change the entire boom at 60,000. You do have to be careful not to over-tighten the u-bolts or you can crack the inner wall and make garbage out of a brand new pipe though, and you can not beat on them to hard either. You will get spotty wear anytime you piece together pipe.

This email was sent to me and I wanted to share it with everyone. These post about Esser pipe give a very wrong impression that Esser somehow lasts longer than ConForms. The question is not how long a pipe lasts, but where the concrete is pumped, and exactly what kind of pipe is used. Every place in the country is different insofar as wear is concerned. Our ConForms U3 (a medium grade) lasts 30,000 yards or so. In Iowa, my customers report 60-75,000 yards from the same pipe. Areas such as LA, SF, and Seattle, might see 90,000 yards from the same pipe. If we use ConForms U5, we see at least 2.5 times the wear. We have a set of the new ConForms TW 250 on our 55M, and expect around 100,000 yards through that system.Well that is the email I got and I think he makes a very good point.I personally like Conforms Much better than I do Esser. I like Conforms team, ConForms attitude. I also like the fact that they support this web site. I have never done business with Esser (funny ha?) but I have worked with Conforms and it has been a pleasure ever since.I personally think you should buy Conforms or Acme before buying Esser and if you don
