Thanks Todd,

This is a new project in a new area for us and it is going well so far.  This is the first and only big project I have done using primarily Putzmeister equipment ( being a Schwing guy, I used to work for them) and I must say I am very impressed.  The 58 and 47 meters are a pleasure to operate and the 20 cell kit will PUMP!  The only problem I have with them is the pump activation switch goes the wrong direction and I pump all the prime water over the back of the hopper; but they still prime out without plugging.

Too long, it is a remote location and the max output of the plant is 350 yds per hr.  But they did good with an avg of 305/hr from scheduled start to finish and we started 45 min late and only had one crew to finish.  Had to use 4 pumps due to the area; and being a COE job limited to 18" lifts and it was 8' deep in the middle

Chris,

nice pics, just asking are the long booms really needed on these pours as you know theyre in my backyard we have the washout containers over there, havent been there in a while I know there are some nice pours on that project, have heard some of my competitors talking bad about yall and what yall are pumping for over there, I dont care what your pumping for its none of my business, they are probably speculating , my point is , is there any profit in driving pumps out of Houston or Dallas to make these pours,I hope so and I havent had any bad dealings with BB I just hope we can keep it that way, I love competition but hate bigdogs to come in and screwup a market thats already down, hope we dont have that problem and hopefully soon we could meet up and talk business one day.

Pudg,

The customer wants the long booms so thats what we are giving them, also we are keeping the pumps in the area for this and several other projects that we have going.  As far as a competitor talking trash about pricing (I know who you are talking about) they should take a closer look at their rate sheet, I have and we were awarded the project based on ability and relationship (the way it should be) not on price.  The trash talkers were more than 50% less than we were, but the customer wasn't comfortable with them.  Like I tell them when they want to beat you up on rates, "How do you know who is cheaper until the job is over".  Somebody that worries about what his competitor is doing needs to make sure that his shit is in line first, until your operation is perfect (which it will never be) only then can you worry about what someone else is doing.  I would love to meet up with you and talk, I moved down here 3 weeks ago to open up this location and outside of the customers we are working for I don't know a soul.  Maybe next weekend we can meet up, I'll be pumping everyday during the week right now.
