Here is photographic evidence. A "Z" style placing boom is a joke played on pump owners. Most, over 90%, of all operators find it easier to operate the placing boom as a roll & fold. Once in a while a z may come in handy; but not often enough to discontinue the day to day sale of roll and fold placing booms. Anyone that has ever had their tower within 25' of a sheer wall or elevator shaft knows what a giant pain in the ass a z style boom is on a building. Wrong application for a z boom; everyone knows that except Putz. |

Tom, There are no dead spots in front of a roll and fold boom. The same can not be said about a "Z" |

half of the pbs i run are z' sand i run them as roll and folds its just easier! your boom is to high off of the deck to run it in a z comfortably. |

Bob is correct,Z booms have a place in the industry, but so do roll and folds,I have both and operate both, but 95% of the jobs we do can be done with roll and folds,I like both but would like to have a choice in the matter.Putz should reconsider their position and offer both models until then their going to be giving potential buyers alot to think about. |
