Auto-Greaser hard lines - Is there any way to clear them once there's concrete/grout in them? I've bypassed the greaser and put grease serts in place of the hard lines, Now I've got the greaser working and would like be able to use it. Anybody got any tricks??? |

T.T. There are "impact" grease guns thay are for just that problem. They are struck with a hammer to activate/power the pumping action. They usually have a needle tip on them. When the line is cleared you almost always need to replace the grease zirk due to the fact that the impact greaser kills the seat that the spring loaded ball would seal against. They work VERY well, good luck ;~) |

TT, if you're running a p***z, kcp, or alliance, they all use 6 light metric compression fittings for grease lines. Knowing this, you can either get adapters from 6 light to a standard American size and start making your own grease hoses, or you can get a hydraulic hose with 6 light ends. No sense in wasting time and money bending new hard lines. (They're 6 mm pipes though if you want it to look new). |

hey BOB, I have heard of those before, but I have NEVER found one. They also give you a wierd look when you describe them at the auto parts place. Do you have a source? While we're talking about grease... Grease gun on the dash to warm up in winter does work, but I recommend in a plastic bag. And you can buy 'winter' grease that is a little easier to push. Remember, when your grease gun is hard to push, it is possible that it is bypassing instead of going where it counts, and you wont know it till its too late.

Maybe try heating them up to melt the old grease out. |
