What's your guy's opinion on "power pumping"? We have some dummies who go a hundred miles an hour and think they're making progress.

Are you talking about the pump-morons that pump as fast as they can so that they can wait on the next load?

You are no fun at all, Art.

This topic is one very good reason to have pump specific software in your computer. It can tell you 'what operator gets what yardage' out of his boom system. Those people are the ones that are thinking about the welfare of the company.

Thank's guy's. That's pretty much my feeling's on the subject also. After what i saw on a jobsite it look like the hoseman was having a sword fight with a 39m and not winning. And the funny part was i put down more yards with a 12 year old 42m and left before way before him!

i agree i never pump any faster then nesisary, its always buy how fast concrete is being deliverd also by pumping alitte slower you have a better chance on catching any problems(plugs)thus possibly avoiding injury to the hoseman or damaging the machine

Interesting thought.I agree that common sense should prevail but in my last years of pumping 120yph to 170yph were not uncommon.Had one sog that ordered 170+ an hour, that was pins and needles. The contractor often sets the ground rules and you can bet your bottom buck your office manager is aware.
