Odd request I am looking for a website, program or software that alerts you of major flatwork pours a few weeks to a month before it begins. I have tried The Dodge report and it was not exactly what I was looking for. Is there anything like this out there or any other way of finding this information out? Thanks! |

I am only aware of a device, not a program. The device I have seen is spherical and appears clear until activated. It will tell you the information you request. It can also inform you of who killed Kennedy, what happened to Jimmy Hoffa and when the world wll end. Also can you inform you of the henway. Most people use hard work and salesmen. Only a few feel special enough to bypass the traditional methods. |

I use a 8-ball to find my work but I think it's broke because when I shake it says "out of luck". |

I appreciate the professionalism gentlemen. I'm not trying to get something for nothing here. I'm simply inquiring as to whether or not something like that exists. I'm new to the buisness and am not going to get anywhere if I don't ask. Flippant remarks aside. It would seem websites coordinating concrete pumps exist out there, similar to Dodge report and Bluebook. Thanks |

BradS, Sorry for my flippant remark, should have walked away from the keybord,my bad. The only way I know of getting work is to beat the bushes and try to make friends with everybody, like them or not.I remember when I started about 14 years ago, I put up with A lot of crap, but it did get better, but then again it couldn't have got much worse.Good luck BradS... P.S. WHAT DOES FLIPPANT MEAN ANYWAY?? |

I do not know of a site of that magnitude and be careful what you wish for competition is fierce without that type of site you would do better in my opinion of isolating a geographical area to your liking and get to know it,get with local ready mix companies and get the good old yellow pages and hit all your foundation contractors and general contractors and work your ass off ,not being a smartass ,but there isnt a easy way its a lot of hardwork ,asskissing, putting up with assholes you wouldnt piss on if they were on fire, and most of all take pride in what you do ,be a perfectionist and strive for it,you will never get it but if you strive for perfection that will go a long way with your customers,Good luck and get your ass to work millions on welfare depend on you. |

Ok, Consider this. Scheduling a large mat pour requires who supplies concrete, who is concrete contractor, weather, passing all inspections. Those are some of the issues. You would need to know, It is unlikely all this information would be given out very far in advance. The timeline from job awarded to pouring concrete and method of placement by who is far longer than a few weeks. I would suggest scanning Dodge reports for your state or region and then narrow down RM suppliers and contractors. It is not so simpleThe world is a complex place. Good Luck.
Sorry for the first message, it was just too easy. |

You're kidding me! There's one that's been around much longer than any website or bidding network. Subscribe to your local commerce report. Some areas are monthly, some are quarterly. Some areas are online but alot of places are not. You may have to wait for some good old US mail but it's worth it! |
