WHY DO OWNER OPERATERS CUT PRICES

i have lost some jobs , through people cutting by £10 per hour,

IE min five hours £300 plus vat they go out for £290 for seven hours plus vat and some time for less it might be okay in the short term, but you wont make money by under cutting i am mostly okay because i have customers that will only use me even if they have to wait, because they know i will help them we all know there is two many pumps

and cowboys running them, and more than not haven't any insurance,its the bad ops that give the rest of us a bad name, if i don't think a job is safe i will drive home easier to lose £300 than thousands

ten bucks means nothing. prices are a concept not a set deal. try to charge what is applical to the project. cowboys are horse people and they can be dangerious animals so you must be disscusting clowns. as for insurance i feel that its mostly a rip off, i have been doing concrete twenty three years with out major problems because safety is the priorty and my equipment is more importaint than the customers job because i do not think that i own them a profit ha ha.

I been pumping concrete for 30 years with in the last 15 years i started my own concrete co. bought a pump trailer about 5 years ago started renting it by the hour did fairly well just bought a boom and all im hearing and seeing are people pumping for nothing. I got one other pump co in my area and there giving flat rates 300.00 we were charging that 30 years ago. Why even be in business I wont pump for pricing Ill leave my pump in the shop and when thay all fail ill pull it out and make money. Ive read Richard OBrian pump pricing a few weeks ago and I agree thats why the man has the rep. he has. Let ALL stop this POOR business practice of flat rates quit been scared!!!!!
