on my ball pump i had a 45 off the reducer with a 2x4 supporting it and my line had bentonite premixed or lime is better,i would put the hose 20 foot past the pump and roll a loop in it all the way out so it was all pre lubed even if i pluged when it got cleared and reconected the line had the rest lubed ready to go. some guys literal put a little water in the pump and some in the line. then have the pump up to say 80 % speed and just hammer it down the line. my problem with that is if you do not catch the plug promtly and i have 1100 lb of face pressure i plug hard and if i do not clear it in five minutes i will plug in the pump and have to open it up and make a mess. i have not had much luck with slick pac and lime is an oviouse mess so the cheep way is to prime the pump into a five gallon bucket with a gallon of water and transfer it to another until it seperates then put it into the line, have the pump at half speed you can prime a long way. |

If the operator didnt have problems before, the easy solution is switch back. Have him try puting the clean-out ball or something else in-front of slurry and push prime thru that way. |
