on my putz 38z the s-tube kicks over nice and quite to the left cylinder but slams hard when it kicks right, about one or two seconds after it kicks right I get a vibration and a whine sound from behind the hopper. its just started doing this, anyone have any ideas. Im wondering if the cutting plate is too tight on the right side, but why all of a sudden and the vibration and whine I dont have a clue. Havent had any problems with it pumping. any help would be much appriciated. thanks guys |

If its fitted with an accumulator, which it proboably is check that its charging correctly on the guage settings should be at 190. |

It also does sound that the cutting ring may be on a little tight. It all depends on what sound its making when kicking right. If its a pulsating sound it might just be that too. |

does it make any difference if you faze it in`it might be a check valve leaking, also if you put too much grease in the cups at the end of the change over rams this restricts it from changing over properly just a thought. |

sound like a problem i had but i dont think its you problem. you pump is equiped with twin shift cylinders right? my pump had the single and it did that when the treads on the shift ram started to unthread from the knuckle. |
