I have noticed the inefficiency and waste in this business has increased drastically from when I started in this concrete pumping thing.I will start with an example seen every day- A load of concrete shows up,and proceeds to find a safe place to stand-by.Instead of pulling on some gloves and flipping his chute,the driver pulls out his/her trusty cell phone and does what everey one may do on a phone,waste.They then back up to the pump,chute folded,unassisted,and then proceed to adjust their load with this verify system which can be handled properly but is not.waste.Meanwhile 2 salesman and a rep from the pump company stand there wondering what the hell is going on,decide to leave together for the buffet at their favorite feeding spot,waste.Why?    Do you see operators who are not doing the very basic things involved in this business like thumping tires or bleeding hydraulic tanks?Strap your boom moron,grease your truck and pay attention to what the hell is going on.The ONLY efficient operations I see are the finishers,although loosing efficiency because their english speaking rep does not have a clue,and the house framers who are by far the most productive.Of course in a country ranked 27th in the world in education and 100 million people receiving government handouts,what can you expect.
