Pumpjokey: Its actualy also pumpmanufacturers/sellers that check the site and then warn the owners I found out.. They must have something to hide ey.... |
||
Todd | 01-22-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
It's not the mfg, nothing is ever hidden for them, they always seem to end up in court and it's almost never their fault. Most always it's the owner who does not want to see his pump tipped over on it's side.
The only company that I ever saw use his tragedy for the good of our industry was the great company called Dynamic.
Dynamic used his tip over as a open forum publicly showing pictures, answering questions, explaining what happened.
I am so proud that Dynamic concrete pumping is a member of ConcretePumping.com
http://www.concretepumping.com/index.php?mode=newboard&act=topic&tid=7909
Check it out |
||
pumpjockey | 01-22-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
Yep, Dynamic was completely upfront about their incident. Hey, it happens. Nobody wants it to happen to them. Thankfully only the operator's ego was hurt. (Apparently not Dynamic (the company) or the management) I think they used the opportunity for the greater good. A bit of fear and trepidation keeps us safe in our daily activities - like driving and crossing the street, Keep your speed in check and look both ways (and heed) before crossing. |

That pump was never his he was just trying to do one of his scams again acting like he owned it he never did own that pump now that's out of the way. I know the owner of Psi he is a very nice person with a good crew we all know mistakes can happen lets pray for the worker that was injured and hope he is ok |
||
pumpjockey | 01-22-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
Nooooo!! Marcus, Scam?? Say it ain't so. As far as PSI...I'm certain they are as good as anybody, an operator didn't take into account his hazardous setup. We all like to get as close as possible, especially if reach is an issue. And if that's your biggest pump, you hate to give the work away to the competition, unfortunate as that is, it may have been a better choice. That, or set up SAFE and add system to gain the needed reach. Thanks for clearing that up, I knew that was a familiar paint scheme. As long as no-one was gravely injured, and the unit uprighted properly, a quick inspection and any necessary repairs and back to work it goes. |

crazycreter | 01-23-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
ya lets all get on our "i am way better than that" horse and analyze the shit out of what he all did wrong!!! Make sure we use all the key words like "undertrained, stupid, rookie, or even FIRED" ya lets do that!!!! From a 1000 miles away, never seen the pump or the company and i know what happened, its like this: OPERATOR "I dont like this setup, its too close to the edge, im gonna move over" CONTRACTER "That edge is just fine, i had heavy equipment on there yesterday, if you dont do it ill call somebody that will and you can go sit, we are NOT blocking traffic" OPERATOR "OK...." Operator error ...bullshit
|
||
schwing58 | 01-23-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
I dont see any 'edge' on this picture... Can't even see the outrigger that went down. So we know NOTHING i'd say... |
||
schwing58 | 01-23-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
And I've seen much worse paint jobs.. |
||
Many | 01-23-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
We have all been had at some point of our journey,some paid the price,some didn't.As for the paint,I like it,I didn't hear alot of bitching about PumpCo's paint. |
||
bmxguy_dave | 01-23-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
I am not the operator form the picture, but I know him and that job. That pump has been setup in that spot 3 times, and a 50m has a too. The only thing that changed was the amount of rain. The bank didn't give away his outrigger punched through along with his dunnage. All i can say is that nobodys perfect. Everybody makes mistakes, So all we can do is hope that the injured worker pulls through. |

schwing58 | 01-24-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
It's maybe not the best looking pump in the world but its fine I think. A bit above average i'd say. And about the tipping... I think we all just have to accept that accidents happen some times. Just like they happen on the road. Or in sports. or on the water or wherever. It would be foulish to think you can avoid ALL accidents.. |
||
Many | 01-24-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
Wasn't that pump in the show a year or two ago,may explain the paint. |
||
toper | 01-24-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS THE GRILL ON THAT STYLE MACK, BUT THIS IS AMERICA AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO MY OWN OPINION, AS FAR AS THE ACCIDENT, WELL ILL KEEP THOSE 2 PENNIES IN MY POCKET,AND PRAY ALL TURNS UP WELL ;) |
||
schwing58 | 01-26-2011 | reply profile send pm notify |
I was of course refering to the pump its self.. The cab is so ugly that even in solide gold it would look like sh't. I always keep my hand in front of the cab when I look at a picture of a MACK pump. But that's not the paint job's fault.. That's the fault of the retard that designs the MACK cabs..Each single one of those cabs the rols out of the factory is a disgrace for the whole trucking industry.. |
