Is the pump you are talking about fresh off the assembly line or a used machine? What manufacture? Sincerely,MarcusOperationsThe Operator Training Centeroperations@operatortrainingcenter.com |

Well.... in general any pump. But we have anything from a 98 Schwing to a 2003 Putz. |

Here is what I would do; first I would build the best history of what has been done to the pumps so far as you can collect. Document everything into separate files to make keeping track as easy as possible. Next try to determine from the manufactures or the best dealers in your market as to what they do and what the recommend as a minimum. I would also send off a fax to the manufactures looking for any critical service information or repairs that need to be done to the machines that mite not have taken place before you owned them. I also myself am very leery of some history reports you get from the guys who sell you equipment as one time, I bought; site unseen a 43 meter that was low low hours and supposed to be a cream puff. Once I got it back here a couple of thousand miles from where it was bought the pump although it looked good was falling apart and way more worn out than what the hour gauge stated. We later found out they had been running it without the hour gauge working and as a result we bought something that was a little more used than we thought. All you can do is pick the right starting point and then begin to build your own service history for anything used. The more detailed the better as it will get you a better price when you go to sell. Sincerely,MarcusOperationsThe Operator Training Centeroperations@operatortrainingcenter.com |

What I was really wanting to know, was what kind of service you do to your hydro fluid. When to filter, when to change the fluid. To be specfic. Thanks Mike |

If the machines that come out of the refurb centers were not in good shape, people would not be wiling to pay those prices. Bob, my old boss purchased three Schwings from there refurbish plant in white bear i believe in 1998. Wow, the 32 meter was fine but both of the 36 meters cost us so much money in down time it was unreal.Yes they eventually paid for all trepairs but it took forever and caused alot of bad blood with our local vendors.. He was out of business due to the lack of quality in there refurbish job. |
