RZ boom is nice, whatever the number of booms.
Here I am in the middle of the mountain on top of a watertunnel intake.
The cab of the mixer truck was just inside the tunnel behind me.

A lot of storage space is needed when you pump 300km away from 'home'.

50+m of 2.5 and some 3" hose, never leave home without it.

you can throw the main section way back.  nice lookin mud to pump, wish id see more of that slump.  whats with all the redusers hanging from the 5" double end hose?  why not have the meatal up top and tied off with rubber at the end?

Yes, I know. Not the proper and safe way to do it.
We don't have any specific rules on pumping here in Norway, and the onces we have are pretty vague.
But always trying to do thing as safe as possible, but it's a limit on how much equipment you can carry on the truck,
when you are 'on the road' for a week and doing all types off jobs. Some attempt on interior shots

maybe im missing something here!! where are the rear outriggers on those things?

ShortStik 11-22-2008

man that interior is the nicest ive seen in a pump cab.  i you live in there, lol

Pump N00b 11-22-2008

The outriggers are between the hopper and 4. axle. Don't extend out so you don't see them.

Uhm, hopper... between pump cell and 4. axle is more correct.
The whole aluminium diamond plate on the rear is the pump cell. The cylinders is mounted sideways.

Damn, that was some ugly interior ShortStik.
The interior is the same as on all Mercedes Actros, and to any spec you want.
So yeah, you could easily live in there.

Those are some seriously short front outriggers and a vertically challenged driver! Great pics.

Some more pics.
Since I was so lucky to work for the best concrete company in Norway and they had their own fleet of mixer trucks,
I've got nothing bad to say about them.
When was the last time you saw a 4 year old truck looking this good? Photobucket

Thanks NOOb! What is your gross weight(loaded)? If we had those trucks over here I would no-longer be TOO tall! I could have a new nick name like PumpDaddy! Or TwoMeter ha! I would not bet your pay check on how many nice looking 4 year old pumps we see over here. We may have a roll of ductape for a cup holder but we got some sweet iron also my friend, HA... Thanks again PumpNOOb, Pump-On!!!

That's a really cool experience to be pumping concrete on an island. Especially in a foreign country like Norway. Seeing this type of work had me thinking about the type of concrete pumping work that is done in the United States. Is there a difference of how the Norwegians do the pumping compared to how the workers in the United States do it? http://masterlinkpumping.com/?page_id=17

Thanks
The truck weighs about 23 tonnes and we have and limit on 32tonnes. So you get about 5-6yards (4-5m3) with you legally. ;P
But when theres a 9-10yard (8-9m3) drum you know the rest of the story.

TooTall 11-22-2008

Is that metric >tonnes< as in 2000 kilos?

Niece pics. First time I went to Norway I was suprised be the beauty of the country.

I've been together with some people from Norway on the last Bauma in Munich and one of them was from Olen Betong.

Where in Norway are you living?

TT 1 metric ton is = 1000 kg

1m3 concrete = about 2400 kg

Vasa - Correct. Swedes, what should we do without them... lol
Kris - I live in Alesund, in the middle of Norway.
Thanks, yes it's beautiful here.

So then max. load of 32"tonnes"= 70400 lbs.(35.2tons) US. Thanks Vasa.

The school bench is paying off! HA HA... Sounds like you have been very busy?

Lots of ammo money but no time to shoot, Sad story...Wake Up! and go get your gun off!

I had to get a .44 blk powder revolver, when you hunt with muzzle loader you can only carry blk powder side arm

I dont like walking in the woods with one single shot. Cowboy Gun, have a look...<-><->

So far I've only been in Oslo and Bodo. What's in between I've seen from the plane. First time for me was on midsummer night. We had the sun shining day and night and 20°. I didn't expect this north of the artic cercle. Second time we were pumping in the snow...

Nice.
If you have only been so far as Bodo you have another 1000km left to the end of norway.
And yes, it's up north they have the warmest summers. Because of the midnight sun I think. Temperatures above 30C is common.
Fun to think of, when you realise that Oslo is as far north as the south tip of Greenland.

NOOb It is a LYNX (a Big kitty cat) from Alaska.

Vasa, I have a friend that loads 44/40 & 45/70 rounds for me. What a difference. in both velocity and accuracy.

I imagine this is an advantage in competition. I like black powder vs. vxx propelant. More smokey and smells good.
