I am in need of new piping/fittings/clamps/hose for a Schwing concrete pump. Schwing takes 3 wks to manufacture in Germany, plus transit time. This is needed urgently. Please, advise a manufacturer or distributor for an equal or similar piping system. |

Get a load of standard pipes (3meters) and bends and get a good welder in the house. Make the pipes that have special length yourself (maybe only 5 or so for a 4 section boom 1 for each section and one on the deck) . Its easy. We did it in your shop on a 40m in 1 day..3 people and the welder. We got a list from the manufacturer with the official lengths of these ''special'' pipes. |

Thanks! I have a bunch of 5" nominal dia. hardened API5L X52 Std. Wt. seamless pipe, also access to Victaulic CS fittings, and Victaulic couplings. Also have access to Victaulic roll groover. Do you know if I'm on the right track? |

Not sure. Not so good at all these english technical terms. I didn't mean you make the pipes all from the bottom. I am talking concretepump system. Maybe these guys have something for you?? There are lots of companys that sell stuff like this.. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/St52-Delivery-Pipe-for-concrete-pump-truck/435511544.html

besides Schwing, have you contacted Conforms or Esser? I did weld pipe before, if you dont have the proper tools to weld the ends on straight, you will be fighting the pipe during installation, and possibly later with leaks. at the same time I think you need to be aware of the safety factor, when you weld your own pipe. key is, as with everything to be pro-activ and not let it go to the point where you are right now |

The victaulic style fittings are not correct, your Schwing has 148mm (OD) ends and are not compatible. The victaulic ends are not rated for concrete pumping. Limited coupling engagement, lower pressure & mechanical forces not to mention the other specialty clamps where the elbows swivel etc would need changing to make that work. As far as the tubing is concerned, almost any could 'get you by' in a pinch, but it will be a lot of work for an unknown life expectancy. ST52 is a pretty low grade for a machine that pumps anything but 'shack-work' (residential, low volume, creamy mud, etc...). Depending upon where you are located, I may be able to help you out. Call if you would like to discuss at 419-448-9891 or email me at tomj@irvingequipment.net Tom J |

what Tom is describing is what i meant with safety factor, can only imaging what would have happened if pipe would have blown and hurt some one... |

Also There is a tag on your boom which tells you EVERY pipe length! The standard size, sometimes only depicted, but not always, is 3 meters! (in American standard 118 i/8"). The make- up pipes are depicted in Metric sizes! If you need to make your own, you can buy weld-on ends with carbide inserts to reduce end wear! But the best course of action is to call one of the sponsors here and order a COMPLETE pipe kit! They're made to exacting tolerences and most manufactures stand by their products! I've spit a liner, showed the manufacturer the pipe had never seen a hammer, and they replaced the pipe! Like any good pump operator,it's their job,it's what they do and the do their best! |
