Lets dream a little bit. If you could add features to your pump or remote that are practical lets put it down. Here is mine. On the remote: 1. A trainer box the links to the main box by cable where at anytime by the flip of a switch you can take over from the trainee. 2. In the middle of your ergonomics box have a 2"x2" LCD that will display truck rpms, truck temp, hydro temp, pump pressure. 3. Auto fold up switch. When done sucking your ball hit auto fold up and away she goes. If they can make one touch controls they can make this. Well thats all I can think up that is "practical". Lets see what you can come up with. thanks Mike

Long ago,I thought it would be a great idea to have two-way communication between the operator and the hopper by way of a mic on the remote box! Push a button on the remote and a loudspeaker relays the message.Push a button on the loudspeaker and the remote box responds

I can never hear the elec horn at the hopper when it is pressed, so our mech ran a air line to the truck horn, its awesome now...I can hear the air horn loud and clear....

DerPutz,

You have those great rear outriggers; why don't you weld (check with REED on procedure) dunnage 'baskets onto the tops of them. When you get ready to set-up you swing the outriggers out far enough to gain access to the deck, climb up and toss the 4X6s off the pump. This is one of the few unused spaces on your unit: use it. ;~)

the Putz telebelt siren should be on every pump

it is the answer

A telescopic chair with an umbrella and a built in cooler and cup holder :> for those long summer days. Seriously I like the dunnage basket idea. I would love to carry more then 16 boards safely.

I had a 2007 putz 61 on a tor and the horn was wired into the air horns. no problem hearing it

Does anyone have a photo of a dunnage basket?  I assume it mounts on top of the outriggers.  I will contact Reed and ask if they have a photo/info.....

I thought of a Reed XXT36 "Sierra Mountain Package",

dunnage baskets, bigger engine for climbing hills, serious mud and snow tires, snow chain hangers, a good hook on the back to pull the pump out of the snow/mud with, a H2O tank heater, .....

I like your "Mountain Package" idea.

Some mfg's put hose racks on the top of rear outriggers. You could check with REED and see if they have one. If you end up building your own make sure to use expanded metal for the bottom of your box as that will let you wash the crud off of the wood.

Call the guys in the service dep't. I bet they will fix you right up.

If for some reason they can't help you, give me a call.  ;~)

Great topic Mr Mike. I agree with a auto fold / unfold preset. I always thought a preset to open the riggers and level the truck would be nice. You would have to have a choice, preset / manual for set ups where it a preset would not work. Once again great topic!!

Oh yeah...I almost forgot. Thanks Seed for reminding me. On the remote box have a level alarm that is tied into the level of the truck. We are not always able to see the outriggers at all times or none of the times, have a alarm on your remote that goes off past 3 deg. or something that you can preset.

Well if i had one wish, hmmm lets see OHHH a pump that don't plug up or break down, a endless supply of water rich and ohh so creamy mud and 14inchs of solid concrete under each foot ooh my im in love now.!But on a more serious note, these new pumps seem to be getting more (elctronicly) stupid just out of control, why does such a simple routine of moving concrete from point A to point B become rocket science, why all the fancy computer boards as of late, I'll take an alliance any day, simple electronics pressurized hydro and a killer cooler fan not to metion greasing the rams, unstopable, stay simple stuff is getting to elctronic.

I agree with you 100%

It is a concrete pump. Ant feature that is not needed to make that happen or any device to make it safer is not needed.

It is just more stuff to fix when it doesn't work. Simple is good.

I always thought they could place an auto wash on the hopper for the wash out.

My dream is a spring loaded boxing glove from the tappers, activated from my remote, to nail the dumb hose guys running back here then there with the whip hose. that has to be the wish of many.
