Hey Guys, One of our customers is looking at a big project that consists of pumping cellular grout a fair distance. Looking for some info on this and possibley a large amount of pipe. What are some of the distances anyone has pushed this stuff? |

The closest I can come to real world experience is to tell you that back in the day when cellular concrete was popular in So Cal, it was typically pumped 300'-400' with Mayco C-30's. All the cellular contractors owned their own C-30's with larger hoppers supplied by Mayco Pump as a "cellular hopper". It's like pumping rich sand slurry at an 11"+ slump. I don't know what kind of build up you would get in an s-tube. Ball valves work just fine. If you can pump all day - every day, 300'+ with a mechanical ball valve - it's easy stuff. |
