pumping engineering needed

We are looking for a accumulator to add to our 4" steel line. We are pumping up to 500'with jus straight steel line an than about 80 ft of 3" rubber on end of that. Has anyone ever seen or used anything like that to keep the line surge down? And Wud u put it at the pump end of it or down closer to the hose
