I recentlly moved to Florida from up north. Never did I know that pumping concrete in the south was so difficult. I worked for a company in Florida. First of all you have to put up with all the rednecks down here who have a complexion with the people from up north. The BS that you have to put up with these people is incredible. P.S. the war is long over get over it. Also the owner was a real JERK. ALL I have to say is thanks to us people from up north who are selling their home and buying homes here in the south construction here in the south is booming. |

Thats the way it is all over, Smooth and level. California has always been fast, but there are some contractors that choose to be slower, and going from fast to slow in the middle of the day can test your patience. But after you get use to it, I think you could indure any State or country. Pumping has its political sides, and it often wears on everyone, especially around August. If you have a level head and keep calm and your boss backs you up, What more can we ask for? Except the quest for more money ! Life is like a hopper of mud, You never know whats in there. I wish this rain would stop so i can get back to work!( Can you show the mixer driver where the pump is ? ) |

Pumping in FL is a whole new ball game. The concrete itself is awsome. Contractors in FL expect prof. attitudes and perfection. All I can say to you being a SW FL Redneck myself is be nice bite your tounge and get the job done. Next time you show up they will respect you a little more. Remember you are there to make the customer happy. I love to pump concrete. It is in my blood. I will do whatever it takes to do the job right ans safely! Almost 20yrs under my belt and still learning. |
