Are there any concerns about pumping light weight concrete? I have a job coming up and have never done it before. It is on a suspended deck through 4 line.ThanksMike

I have learned from experience, lightweight MUST be saturated before loading or if not presure of pumping forces water back into material, making mix very dry and plugging up. Learned this first year of pumping from the advice of REED personnel(MARTIN RODRIGUEZ) Can make for bad day when lightweight not saturated, as matter of fact, we cancelled that pour till reddimix co. saturated overnite, HOPE HELPS

Good lite-weight is a good day. Man when it is bad it is bad.

The batch plant decides to not soak your aggregate well enough and THAT screws you up. Just to add insult to injury, since it is not soaked well it is lighter and since the material is all batched by weight, you get MORE of the popcorn than you should, by volume.
