PUMPING WITH DISTURBANCE BUTTON?

On my second job yesterday the mix was garbage. I had to manually pump 2.5 loads with my disturbance button. At the end of the last truck it came out of it and was pumping fine. The mixed looked fine and was a good 6. Just did not want to pump. I do not like to pump with the disturbance button unless you can see the flow of the concrete to be sure you are not dry packing the boom. How often does any one find themselves doing this and any thoughts on the mix? TOO MUCH SAND MAYBE?

too much sand so like a legitimite answer. And we all know how critical the material porportions are when pumping concrete. I have faced a tough mix, and I am alomst certain it was because of too much sand despite what the truck ticket said. Stuck gate on the hopper at the plant, etc, etc, you name it it could be a culprit of tough mixes to pump, even machines make mistakes and have problems from time to time.

A Schwing like almost any other pump will pump a lot of S--T,but no pump can pump all the S--T.

THE CRAM BUTTON  LMFAO !!! It is a Putz. Went out yesterday and pumped like a champ.  A case of garbo concrete. Pumpon, The disturbance button or emergency stroke change is a button you can manually swap the pump over to the other cylinder!

Not sure what your talking about i have pumped very sandy no problems ,  Problems start when it gets to rocky normally it wont draw it in and sucks air and segreagates in hopper.   I have more problems when there is not enough cement  I have never run anything but a rock valve.

Here in Iceland it´s the Elepthant From Putzmeister that worked best....  Pumpes just about anything.....  shame we dont have them nomore.....

All this talk about putz's being garbage is kind of funny. Because in my neck of the woods when you set a putz and a schwing up next to each other on the same job, not only does the putz outpump the schwing with any mix , it does it a hell of alot smoother. We take customers from people that run schwings all the time just for the simple fact that the putz gets r dun!

Ever notice when you get a bad load,it's always"What's wrong with your pump?" Contractors never want to admit it might be lowest priced concrete they could find's fault.

And I know what the best pump is.

I never directly accuse the concrete company of sending an un pump able mix. Everyone gets offended. When asked if it is the pump I say, I just came from a job and it was pumping fine. I will call you tommoro if I have trouble pumping concrete. I have not had to call anyone yet!!!

Hey Seed come up here one company to the next is suger to shite. Contractors know it but seem to be trained to never say it until we win the next bid. Placers hate the so called cheap scates, the float scores not creams hehe.

High air mixes can be a nightmare also so how many variables and blames can be givin.
