Presently, I only know SANY has the longest boom 66 meter. |

I saw this on the Far Site VIA Vasa\'s Pics courtesy of Speedy. With only four or so 65\'s in the US. I do not see the market. Nice thought though! I still think they were baiting the competition? Is there a Sany 66 in North America yet?

The market is just like you Seed; it is the future. The Putz 70m is a real deal. Mr. Young at KCP has a plan for a two piece 90m. Which means Sany has a plan for a 100m, ;~) |

Whenever the government of the ole USSA pulls its head out and we begin to construct more nuke plants EVERYONE involved will need a 100m boom. You heard it here first ;~) |

When I was at Putzmeister last week collecting my new pump the mechanic told me that he had been to Germany and has seen parts of the new 72 metre which is going to be mounted on a trailer he said it was massive. |

Great Thread! Hey Bob the word on the street is the next Nuke plant will be built in Texas no sooner than 2014. As long as the permitting goes well! |

Speedy is right about the need to go to the tractor-trailer configuration. The weight laws have caught up with the one piece units. Since all of the states are different with their weight laws and permits; some of the large units can not be sold in all the states. When that happens, the pool of available \'re-sale\' companies is diminished, making it harder to sell a used pump of gigantic size. The multi piece, follow along on seperate trucks, crane type units are the only way to get to the giant boom class concrete pump. These units can be configured to meet the weight laws anywhere. If any of you have ever seen a Manitowoc 4600 ringer (a real thing of engineering beauty) you can imagine pump booms of that scale. There are only two ways to reach to those heights, longer outriggers or counterweight mass. |
