Hey fellow pumpers. k so the weather is finally warmed up and the season is really getting busy now, the issue with our 2005 putz Z boom is every time a Rm driver is empty he hits the E stop and Blah whole unit shuts down. not just the pump i mean engine and all the truck never used to do this. it seems when the weather is hotter it starts to act up. i myself havent been able to get the truck to do it ive tested it but the other operator says it happens all the time. any help would be great thnxs

Ok that's a good one, Am I understanding the truck motor shuts down with E Stop on rear step. i saw you can't duplicate it, try having the operator that is having the issue show you, you might see something he is doing. I am also assuming the rest of the e stop's are not affecting this. The next best option is to contact PMA Customer support 800 890 0269 it could be a short is the system. There is a relay that will kill engine, the switch is on your remote, a short in the system or a problem with the ground circuit can affect this. Also try running the hardwire, could be tough to find if you cannot duplicate it. I had a similar problem a few years back it was a poor ground on the truck. |

When you try kill it yourself do you push the estop while pumping?

well ive tried pushing all the e stops while dry pumping to see if i could get the problem to appear. ive talked to pm tech support and was told that some of the newer rigs were setup to shut the motor down when the e stop was pushed but this is a 2005 and it has never done it before. it seems like when the weather gets hot and the cab and dog house and such get hot the truck does some weird things. one is if you have been pumping for a long time and your all done washed up and ect and disngage the pto switch the light stays on but you can hear the aux box click over and such. so could this be a hot relay or something acting up the odd time?
