gotta quick question and needing help i run a 36z putz 05 12 volt system new world box (just trying to tell ya what im working with) well ever time i go to wash out and got the pump in reverse  idled all the way up and stroke turned up getting ready to washout and crank on my water pump my pump quits pumping whats up with that ?/???

Small gear pump on the back is going bad, better change it before it fails in the middle of a job.  Need the flow from that pump to turn the big pumps "on".

Hold your horses, don't be so hasty. The charge pump also powers the agitator paddles in most putzmeisters. Do the paddles work or stop with dry concrete on idle?

IMO it may your pump control pressure regulator that's set to specific rpm before she pumps.

you might have to adjust your 900 rpm limiter box might not have enough oil going to adjatator circuit

Before you get to worked up . Is your grate down, safety switch has returned to neutral position. If so and your agitator is still not turning, check your coil on your agitator.  There is a light on it if its original, if lights on everything is fine, if not check fuses. Also check your reversing coil hit the palm button, if it starts to cycle in reverse then its a bad coil, if not now start looking at hydraulics.

Well was it the water pump ???
