On the job today working on asphalt. I noticed a new suspicious leak on the pavement. I looked into it and found It was coming from a steel line that connects to a rubber line for my out riggers. The run is short directly from the Hydraulic tank. It is probably 6 ' max. I have hydraulic oil welting up on the square mounting bracket that the line runs through. These are common, they are all over the Putz boom. There is a Slim chance hydraulic oil could have run down from topping off ( I did today) but my gut tells me no. I think I have a leak in the bracket. This on a 1998 Putz 36. Any suggestions? I have tomorrow off and may just pull the line and have it made. I like to be pro active not reactive if you know what I mean. Thanks, Seed

Seed I run Putz and the steel lines that goes through the clamps will start to leak from vibration and slight movement. I hate this type. Have fun. If you have the DAY off then you should remoce all clamps and inspect. |

I went to the local Hydraulic shop. All they had was the piping. I ordered the fittings from Putz and hope to get it fixed Monday. Thanks!
